CRASH of WELLINGTON Z 1215

On 20.6.1942 on 03.00 hours Wellington Z 1215 has been shot down by a German nighfighter 30 km North West of the Island of Vlieland and crashed in the North Sea during a raid on Emden.

Six crew members were killed. Only two of them washed ashore.

BURIED:
Dziekoński Czesław washed ashore on the Island of Borkum, Germany and is now buried in de Sage War Cemetery at Oldenburg Germany.

LECH Eugeniusz Marian washed ashore on the Dutch coast and he has been buried in de West-Terschelling General Cemetery on the Terschelling Island.
