Crash with Spitfire Mk IX, MH 910


During an "Armed Recco" on 15.40 hours of four Spitfires West 
of Amsterdam in a canal named "Noordzeekanaal" two little barks 
were attacked. 
Sierż. W. Sznapka stated that during their two-up run the Spitfire 
of plut. Wierchowicz did not came up. 
His aircraft was probably hit by machine gun fire.
