EXPLANATION: :  
According the book: "Geschichte Nordfrieslands" written by Thomas Steensen, 
published in 2006 by "Nordfrisk Instituut Bredstedt", Śliwka Józef and Baran Bronisław   
lost their lives in a major traffic accident with a lorry on 5.10.1945 near the hamlet 
Fehsholm on Bundesstrasse 5, south of Bredstedt.

Ten Polish civilians were killed in this accident as well. They were starting with help of 
the Polish Army there homeward journey.

Obviously is the date of death on his headstone mentioned not correct.
