Westland Lysander TTIII nr. V9793 was flying very low down a valley and 
hit some electricity cables which were crossing the valley. 
The Lysander hit the cables and fell into the woods below and started 
a fire. 

Both st.strz. Witold Bluczynski and his tow operator, AC1 David Hocknull (RAF), 
were killed. 

David Hocknul is buried in Glasgow, Scotland.

They belonged to 7 Air Gunners' School at RAF Stormy Down, near 
Port Talbot, South Wales.
